Our Mission
Adi Shakti Ashram is a creative force in the community providing Sattvic lifestyle principles, Gurmukh Yoga teachings, and Healthy local Food.
Mana Foods is governed by Adi Shakti, a nonprofit organized for optimal health and rooted in the understanding that food is medicine, community is sacred, and vibration matters. Adi Shakti—a Sanskrit term meaning “Divine Feminine”—created this space to nourish both mind, body and spirit.
The Practice of Gurmukh
Adi Shakti Ashram was created to honor the vibrational sound current of Gurmukh, a sacred practice originating from the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. We herald it as the most up-to-date yoga text on the planet.
This practice of Gurmukh, meaning “Awake in the body,” uses the vibrational frequency of ancient mantras to elevate consciousness and harmonize with the earth’s natural rhythms.
For ten years, we have gathered as a community to perform Equinox readings for 72 and eventually 64 continuous hours of mantra at each Spring and Fall Equinox, creating an unbroken chain of mantra for 3 continuous days. Community members come together to vibrate these sacred sounds as a prayer of gratitude and protection for the Earth, Nature Spirits of Roaring Fork Valley and beyond.
At Mana Foods, Gurmukh mantra plays 24 hours a day, and the Siri Guru Granth Sahib sits in our temple as a continual reading. We believe these sacred sound frequencies elevate not just our store, but our community and the planet itself.
It’s a reminder that this grocery store was built on the understanding that everything carries vibration, and that nourishing the body and nourishing the spirit are inseparable acts.
How the Reading is Relevent to the Times
The Equinox reading is a communal act of declaring our independence and interdependence at the same time.
It is a community declaration that ignites and empowers our desire for equality and diversity while teaching equanimity.
It is a democratic act and awakens our alliance to a victory far beyond the chains of our current paradigm.
A reader becomes a creator of a sovereign spiritual nation within oneself and in the world as well.
Alchemy is another word for what we do.

Those interested will be signing up for 1+ hours of mantra reading. It is encouraged to do longer periods of time for potent experiences.
Please come with a head wrap or scarf to cover our heads to honor the sacred space, contain the spiritual energy at the crown chakra where divine consciousness enters the body, and maintain reverence and focus during the reading of the Guru’s words.
